I began the day feeling anxious as I pushed through a cycling performance assessment. They are not my favorite activity 😫. However, I was happy to see #gainz with a subsequent improvement in my training zones…🚴🏽💨 🥳

Totally filled with excitement, did a thing and swam open water around an island 🏝 at sunrise 🌄. ‘Twas a most beautiful and glorious experience 😊.

I also spent quite a bit of time in my happy place…under the sea exploring shipwrecks, traversing coral tunnels while enjoying the peace of the open ocean and all her beautiful creatures 🤿.

I flew back into town and wrapped up the day with a fabulous 🏊🏽 🚴🏽 double header .

First, a zone 2 OWS with a focus on technique and sighting without breaking my rhythm. Then, I lucked up and worked some zone 2/4 intervals under the most magnificent sunset 🤩.

Nothing like heat, sunshine and humidity to summon a determined spirit 💪🏾. Today’s sunrise was perfect. Running on the trail as it 🌅 rose was a wonderful way to begin the day.

The humidity activated my super-sweat 😓 mode and I ended up soaking my shoes to the point that I left footprints with each step (see last photo) 💦 🥵. Some say yuck 🤢, or gross… I prefer to call it sexy juice 😂 😝.

I felt so fucking alive during my run today 😆. 100+ heat index, full sun on my skin and a cold water bottle in my hand…muah-perfection 🏃🏾.

Turns out that I enjoy the feeling of a good struggle coupled with confidence that I can keep on grinding. I stayed hydrated and focused on feeling the beauty of the moment.

Until now I’ve been too embarrassed to post many video of myself running.
But, after watching @kristianblu crush the field with an unorthodox running form, I’ve become inspired. I don’t have to try to transform myself from a bulky clydesdale into a gazelle which is a relief because I don’t think there is a gazelle inside this body 😂.

I will become a better clydesdale! 🐴 😀
