had the pleasure to sit with my good friend, my brother, my Mr. Ironman himself, Dr. Chris Tubbs. We discussed his journey to Ironman 2020, and his new status as a Prostate Cancer Survivor. Chris went deep into what to look for as a Black man and what not to avoid. We also talked about the real-life fears we as black people face with our health and how we care about ourselves. Enjoy!
It has taken me three years to appreciate the value recovery weeks.

At some point during the run, my brain kept saying “ok, we’re tired, let’s walk”. Having fallen for that sh*t in the past, I asked my legs “how are we doing fellas?” They replied “all good man, LFG”. Ha! I told my brain to STFU, and kept on pushing.
Don’t fall for the mind tricks. Trust your training and #keeppushing 👊🏾 * I love all this shit! * #triathlontraining #blacktriathletes #iloveallthisshit #ironmanchris #prostatecancerawarenes www.journeyto140.com/blog...
