Move with intention, listen to your body and breathe through the difficult moments. * Attack!!! 🚴🏽 Spending time with my triclub training buddies helps me stay grounded. I’ve been feeling very scattered lately due to less than ideal training blocks and races are approaching quickly. The images convey, better than words, the beauty of this morning’s ride. TRIDoT pool school is paying dividends. Today’s 🏊🏽 session went well even though I was feeling really sluggish. I wanted to go to bed instead of the pool πŸ₯±. Rather than attempt to power through the set, I focused on holding good form and staying consistent it worked 😁 I hit my pace goals anyway πŸ‘ŠπŸΎ! The time zone changes have made me loopy 🫨. After walking fifteen billion steps around Tokyo, all I was able to muster was some hotel dreadmill time. It was supposed to be an easy run, but I felt like I was stuck between park and 1st gear. Barely able to move my legs. I was feeling lazy and almost went to the hotel gym to run on the treadmill 😦. Then, I came to my senses and thought β€œHey dumb dumb, you are in Hawaii and it’s almost sunset! WTF are you thinking?” A Proud Poppa Post. Mahalo to @tradewindcyclingteam and the Oahu cycling family for the open arms and awesome ride around the island. We climbed, bombed through tunnels, enjoyed the rain, soaked in the coastline and bonded. The best day ever πŸ™ŒπŸ½.
