Torment, frustration, and concern have ruled my days since I completed the marathon. For 14 days I hadn’t been able to run more than 5 steps without intense knee pain. Yesterday, I was able to run my first mile!
Then the pain returned.
Injury recovery is a new process for me. I don’t know how to set an expectation. As a result, I think that I’m expecting way too much to happen too quickly.
I have some time before Ironman Galveston, however, I don’t want to lose too much of my run fitness because it’s already my weakest discipline.
